Company Body


1891: Creation of William Barclay Peat & Co. (the P in KPMG).
1897: Creation of Marwick, Mitchell & Company (the M in KPMG).
1911: Peat and Mitchell decided to join forces to form Peat Marwick International (PMI).
1917: Creation of Klynveld Kraayenhof & Company (the K in KPMG).
1953: Reinhard Goerdeler joined Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft (the G in KPMG).
1979: Peat, Marwick, Mitchell Co. joined forces with Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft to form Klynveld Main Goerdeler (KMG).
1981: PMI merged with KMG - the joint companies renamed to Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler. At the time it was the largest merger in the history of the accounting business.
1991: Creation of the Belgian member firm.
2016: The network of member firms exists in 155 countries, with 174,000 people.
2016: Creation of KPMG Technology Solutions located at the Corda Campus.
